Baseball wins a tight one at Gateway

A very nice seven innings for the win at Gateway for Lucas Knowles

"I'm happy for our freshmen Jacon McKeon and Matt Aribal who have getting oportunities and making the most of them" said head baseball coach Anthony Gilich.

McKeon and Aribal both collected a couple of hits and Lucas Knowles and Dakota Donovan kept gateway Community College to two runs in a vaqueros 3-2 win Tuesday. It's a busy week for central baseball with five games on tap with a couple of rained out games being played against Sctottsdale Community College.

Ernny Ordonez, KcKeon, and Josh Dudden drove in the three Vaqueros runs and starter Knowles struck out six batters in seven innings, giving up only three hits. Reliever Donovan did a tidy final two by striking out three and facing the minumum six batters. A perfect final two is a better word than tidy.

Central moves to 12-6 and 3-2 here at the early conference games point with much to go!
