Three hours to Douglas must have felt like six coming home as the Vaqueros from Central Aizona College (3-5, 17-5) dropped both ends Tuesday at Cochise (3-1, 8-6).
Both scores were 2-1.
All the offense in game one came with a blast from Armando Aguilar into their desert, and RJ Dabovich pitched a great six innings giving up only two runs, and striking out seven. Both runs came on little rbi singles and it was enough for a 2-1 Apaches win.
The four Central pitchers in game two only gave up six hits which will win you most games. Jabob Hilton started and threw well for five. Koa Eastlack, Jordan Suarez, and Matt Dalke pitched the final three. Dalke has only given up one earned run all year in six appearances.
Jake Vander Wal rapped two doubles but was stuck on base.
The Vaqueros jump back on the bus for two with Eastern Arizona this weekend.
