A large portion of the men and women's track team competed in the 2026 NAU Tune-Up on Saturday, hosted by Northern Arizona University. The meet marks the 6th meet competed for the Vaqueros and Vaqueras.  

Results:

60 meter Men:

Jaylen Jackson-7.08, he placed 24th out of 55 runners.

Darius Cade-7.25, he placed 36th.

60 meter Women:

Ariana Carry-7.47, her time qualified her for the NJCAA Indoor Championship. Ariana placed 2nd out of 29 runners.

Mickayla Gardner-7.48, her time qualified her for the NJCCA Indoor Championship. Mickayla placed 3rd.

Shaquania Jacobs-7.85, her time qualified her for the NJCAA Indoor Championship. Shaquania placed 10th.

Alexus Frank-8.05, she placed 17th.

Shyla-Mae Tisdale-8.32, she placed 25th.

200 meter Men:

Antonio Carrola-21.85, he placed 8th out of 43 runners.

Bryan Thomas-22.02, he placed 9th.

Ja'Morris Edmonds-22.44, he placed 15th.

Jalen Jackson-23.07, he placed 25th.

200 meter Women:

Mickayla Gardner-23.96, her time qualified her for the NJCAA Indoor Championship. Mickayla won the event out of 28 runners.

Shyla-Mae Tisdale-27.98, she placed 22nd.

400 meter Men:

Donovan Davidson-47.94 which is a season best. Donovan's time qualified him for the NJCAA Indoor Championship, he placed 3rd out of 33 runners.

Ja'Morris Edmonds-50.57 which is a season best. Ja'Morris placed 10th.

Chirstopher Thomas-53.59 which is a season best. Christopher placed 27th.

400 meter Women:

Ariana Carry-58.48, she placed 2nd out of 20 runners.

Nkoyo Usoro-1:03.24 which is a season best. Nkoyo placed 11th.

Faith Martinez-1:03.71, she placed 12th.

800 meter Men:

Carson Wetzel-1:54.72 which is a new personal record. This is also the 3rd fastest time run all-time (Indoor) by a CAC Athlete. Carson's time qualified him for the NJCAA Indoor Championship, placed 8th out of 42 runners.

Marcus Carter-1:57.94 which is a new personal record. This is also the 8th fastest time run all-time (Indoor) by a CAC Athlete. Marcus placed 17th.

Micah Peynado-1:58.86 which is a season best. This is also the 12th fastest time run all-time (Indoor) by a CAC Athlete. Micah placed 21st.

Federico Tejada-2:08.58, he placed 33rd.

Gabrial Escanuela-2:10.93, he placed 35th.

800 meter Women:

Hannah Hammer-2:28.81, she placed 4th out of 19 runners.

Tyara Hernandez-2:32.35, she placed 8th.

Larisa Hernandez-2:33.00 which is a season best. Larisa placed 10th.

Faith Martinez-2:50.16, she placed 16th.

Emmanuel Simiyu-4:18.29 which is a new personal record. This is also the 11th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete. Emmanuel placed 6th out of 40 runners.

Fausto Pianciola-4:18.60 which is a new personal record. This is the 12th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete. Fausto placed 8th.

Erardo Gonzales-4:42.22, he placed 17th.

Federico Tejada-4:45.65 which is a new personal record. Federico placed 38th.

1 mile Women:

Hannah Hammer-5:26.73 which is a new personal record. This is also the 10th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete. Hannah placed 10th out of 27 runners.

Tyara Hernandez-5:41.13, she placed 11th.

3000 meter Men:

Gabrial Escanuela-8:51.82 which is a new personal record. This is the 15th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete.  Gabrial placed 7th out of 28 runners.

Justin Escanuela-8:51.82 which is a new personal record. This is the 16th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete.  Justin placed 8th.

Joel Barros-8:52.25 which is a new personal record. This is the 17th fastest time run all-time by a CAC Athlete. Joel placed 9th.

Erardo Gonzales-9:59.27, he placed 22nd.

3000 meter Women:

Reshila Curley-11:07.27, she placed 4th out of 16 runners.

Lillian Kamm-11:25.48, she placed 8th.

Joyce Hernandez-11:25.67, she placed 9th.

Lorelai Yanez Perea-11:28.22 which is a new personal record. Lorelai placed 11th.

Larisa Hernandez-12:24.66, she placed 13th.

Alexis Fisher-12:22.44 which is a new personal record. Alexis placed 15th.

60 Hurdles Men:

Christopher Thomas-9.15, he placed 20th out of 27 runners.

Zachary Dietiker-9.46 which is a season best. Zachary placed 24th.

High Jump Men:

Kwontis Davis-1.90m, he placed 6th out of 22 jumpers.

High Jump Women:

Vinea Buford Stillman-1.47m, she placed 5th out of 9 jumpers.

Long Jump Men:

Kwontis Davis-5.91m, he placed 24th out of 30 jumpers.

Triple Jump Men:

Augustine McCabe-14.82m, his jump qualified him for the NJCAA Indoor Championship. Augustine won the event out of 14 jumpers.

Shot Put Men:

Wilbert Green-12.29m, he placed 14th out of 23 throwers.

Shot Put Women:

Shlya-Mae Constable-11.16m, she placed 8th out of 15 throwers.

Weight Throw Men:

Wilbert Green-13.43m, he placed 12th out of 17 throwers.

Weight Throw Women:

Shyla-Mae Consstable-16.40m, her throw qualified her for the NJCAA Indoor Championship. Shyla-Mae placed 3rd out of 15 throwers.
